Honour killings or stoning for “bringing shame” to a family, hanging as punishment due to rape, genital mutilation as part of tradition, subservience and cruelty as a norm.


If this were to be happening to men AS WELL AS WOMEN in certain countries, for example to a particular race or class, if men were to be affected too by this persecution, then foreign intervention would be more or less expected. So why not when it is happening to women only?
